CAI

I was wondering if anyone has made there own CAI for the vortec 5700 motor? If so do you have any pics. I'd like to do some kind of CAI but I don't wanna spend the big bucks. I did a home made CAI on my Grandprix and it works just as well the name brands. The whole intake plumbing has me scrating my head with the sensor so far away and then the air inlet sitting on a verticle plane.

I've seen on here a few have "swiiss-cheesed" the air-box and added tubing from the bottom of the air box through the fender well to the front air dam area. I'm sure some one that did it can explain the procedure better. Do a search you might find the thread. I'd do it for you but I don't know how to post links.
