hunter2975 Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Took my truck to the store and everything was fine, when I went back out to start the truck it will not fire up. Turns over fine, fuel pressure at 45 when trying to start but will not start at all. No lights were on, nor have I had a problem previous to this. Sure could use some help.
fig03 Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 I had a no start in my 01 silv v6 It was the cap and rotor. I got a little hesitation intermitintly prior, but no check engine light
asepgrad98 Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 have you got spark, compression and injector pulse?
02 Silverado Z71 Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 You are on the right track. But, 45psi is not enough fuel pressure to open the tiny poppet valves inside the injectors, thus, allowing fuel to enter. You need 60-65 psi of pressure. Fuel pump, fuel filter.
builderpaul Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 Check for spark. Same problem in my 97 5.7. Ignition module failed. Easy bolt on replacement.
