AssKickinHD Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 Im looking a replacing the factories with Cerwin Vegas. They seem to have pretty good specs for the price.... Front: HED-2652E Rear: HED-162 or VEGA-6002 Anybody have any experience with the Vega's???? My 2nd and more expensive choice is Alpine Front: SPS-171A or SPR-176A Rear: SPS-170A Thoughts???
msnyder Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 Cerwin Vegas are awesome, very good speakers for low wattage (perfect if you're using the stock headunit) I've had many sets of these, I also have cerwin vegas for all my home theater speakers.
rhilton Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 well my vega subs were awesome, only I had too much power going to them and blew them. Let us reiterate, they are wonderful for low wattage. As for alpine, I have the sps 570As in my front doors, and they are wonderful, I'd highly recommend them.
maroonsilverado Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 i used to have some cerwin vega home audio and it was awesome. never dealt with their car audio though. i've got all alpine speakers in my truck and my fiance's car. got 4x6 plate speakers in my truck and she's got the type r 6x9s and the type r 5 1/4s. all sound great and never had any problems with them.
