Hey all, im new to the forum.

I know this topic has probably been run into the ground, but i im looking to tune my own pcm but i don't want all this hi octane tune stuff, i just want torque management taken off completely. I was wondering where i can get this removed compeletely without paying for a full custom tune? The reason is b/c im going to put a 6.0 in it sometime after my warranty runs out. Then i will get a full custom tune!:seeya::sick::mad:

Thanks,

Mike

ok first off to get rid of torque managment=tqm-you will either have to buy ls1edit or get a custom tune. beware that all tqm removal without certain measures will cause parts to wear out prematurly. unless you are going top do a shift kit and servos then i would leave some in there.

i beleive that it will damage the tranny first. with your 4l80 you can get away with more. i think with a shift kit and servo there are a lot of people that are getting rid of 100% tqm with no problems.

predator is a handheld unit that changes certain charactristics that will help. if you get it from johan at runningwiththedevil you can get a custom tune from them. i had a lot of problems with mine and know others that have had probs to. i know a custom tune for an 04 is expensive but is unmatched by any handheld. give nelson perf a call. link is in my sig.

If you get a tune from Nelson, Westers, PCMForLess, etc they will all update your tune when you put the 6.0 in for a nominal fee. That way you can enjoy the benefits while you wait to do the 6.0. Give them a call and they will fill you in on the details or check them out online.

O ya welcome aboard.

You do know that as soon as the dealer plugs into your truck for whatever reason, they will find it right away, and bub-bye waranty.

Trucks arn't for speed, thay are for work, no torque managment will be super hard on your trans.

I'm not worried about a warranty, but if you have one, you should be.

Trucks arn't intended to be fast, but if yours is fast, then your better off.

I cant stand the torque managment....what is th epoint of having 500 tq if you cant use it......the allison trany is literally desighned to slip...that make no sense to me..doesnt slipping a clutch kill it quicker????????should we maybe just put stonger clutch packs in the first place..or just keep beeting these thing from the factory...something is allway going to brake..just keep biuding it.....lol

sorry i am in a mood.....
