Muffler choices???

Anyone running an Edelbrock muffler (RPM or 304 series)? Looking at keeping the stock stainless pipe and changing muffler and adding a tip instead of dumping $$$ into a complete system.  Thoughts/comments welcomed.

I had a Borla cat-back on my old truck and liked it alot.  Not too loud, and a very uniformed and authorative rumble when you put your foot into it.  They sell several different types and sizes and if/when I replace the big can under my truck I'll be looking at them first...

This is one of the first things I changed on my 2000 when I got it. It ran so smooth and quiet, I had to look at the tach to see that it was running.LOL. I bought a Flowmaster 70 series with a 3 inch inlet and dual 2 1/2 outlets. I had aluminized steel run out with slash cut megaphones put on the truck. It now has a nice rumble. Not loud though because I live in a quiet neighborhood. Plus I really don`t like the loudness when I running down the road. Interstate speeds, you cant tell they are there. Not too loud just right in my opinion.

EDZ - just out of curiousity, are your pipes run out the side or back?

They are straight out the back. I put them there because I figured they would get abused coming out the side.
