605 ft lb of torque and 310 hp

Is the 605 ft lbs of torque and 310 hp only available in first and fifth gear just like the 2004 where as the 590 ft lb of torque is availabe only in first and fifth gear and you only have 520 ft lb of torque 2-4 gear.

I think you have it backwards, 1st only had 520, 2-4 got 590, 5th back to 520, I think. Not sure about the "new" 605. Chris

You are correct. Lower power in 1st and 5th.

im not an engineer but the lower ratings in 1st and 5th will probably stay, this is probably to increase transmission life in 1st gear and overdrive when the full 605 ft lbs of torque is not an absolute neccessity as opposed to taking a grade in 3rd or 4th going 50-60 just my take on it
