Steering wheel creaks

Just like the title says. My steering wheel squeaks/creaks when small movements are made but only when the right-hand turn signal is on. So, I'm assuming that it has something to do with the cancelation ring/cam. Is there any way to lube this to stop it. If I can avoid taking the truck in under 'warranty' I'd rather do that. (you guys know how I feel about taking it to the dealer for service)

I have that same problem with my '02. It started after about a year and has progressively gotten worse. It's a noisy clock spring inside the steering column. GM considers it normal operation and my dealer won't touch it.
