HVAC question?

I would like to know if I'm the only one who feels that to much fresh air is let into the cab of the truck when recurculate is selected on the dash?

In my other vehicles recurculate just about eliminates all outside odors, with the occasional exceptionally strong odor making its way through.

Not with my truck though, I can smell exhaust fumes, skunk, even some dude smoking his cigarette sometimes.

I took it to chevy and they told me it was normal and all was well.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Is there any TSB out there?

Has anyone had a similair experience?

thanks

The only problem I had with mine was when i put the A/C on recirc. mode, I could hear outside air coming in, making a whistling noise. They resealed the heater box. It still whistles a little, but only when the fan in on 5 and traveling over 75 mph.

Do you think I'm getting to much fresh air when in recurc? I personally do but was wondering what others felt?

mine is the same way, so if that's "normal," then I guess it's "normal"

cigarette is the worst. i just can't see how such a small odor can really permeate the truck like that, and that's coming from one or more cars away.

I have noticed lately that I have an annoying whistle when I have my A/c or vents running. Has anyone got a fix from the dealership for this? This is really getting on my last nerve while I am out riding around :withstupid: .
