Trailer connection problems on my 2003 Tahoe LT...

for some reason, my brake lights, left blinker, and right blinker aren't working, on my tahoe trailer connector. it has the round 7-pin connector, btw. now, the wierd thing is that the brake lights and blinkers work great, on the tahoe, itself, but they won't work on the trailer. now, i know it's the tahoe because i can plug the trailer into another truck, and it works fine. also, i took a meter and tested voltage, and i'm getting nothing, on the left blinker/left brake and right blinker/right brake pins. since the blinkers and brakes are working fine on the truck, i don't know what it could be. i looked in the manual, and it doesn't say that it has a separate fuse for the trailer harness... anyway, does anyone have any ideas? it would be great if it had a separate fuse, and maybe it does...in which case, point me in the right direction.:D oh yeah, the running lights work fine...it's just the brakes/blinkers.

thanks,

Open the connector and look at the pins. Perhaps one or two of the pins have been bent and are not making contact. Take the back of the connector off of the GM connection on the bumper and look there. Mine did that also and I found that the problem was a bent internal connection pin.

I kind of remember someone here saying that the connecters/pins were not in the correct location on their plug outlet on their truck. Turn your blinker on and run your test light on all the pins and see if it will flash on one of the pins. You may just have to pull the pin out and stick/swap it into the right location.
