Radio lights gone out?

1999 GMC Yukon SLT. The factory radio doesn't fully illuminate anymore. The right half of the radio doesn't light up. Is there anyway to replace the lights or is it even possible to open the radio up without too much damage?

Don't know about the radio but I've been replacing the HVAC bulbs, It has taken a while to find the right bulb but I think I've got it now. So I would try it, if you do get it open and find the burnt out bulb, it is probably a solder in type so you need a good soder'er . An electronics store (ie: Radioshack) should have the right bulb. I would tell you the bulbs I am using in the HVAC controls but I want to make sure they last awhile first.
