Grill removal on a 94

Could someone lend an ear here? I need to remove the grill(entire front panel) on my 94 GMC, and I can't see whats holding it in on the two lower ends. I think it's just a clip but dont want to here that "snap" if its a screw...

Been there???

removed the two signal light lenses 8 philips srews and there is a bolt behind each

I know this is an old post but it is right in the nature of what I need to know.

Can you adjust where this grill sits? Since the body work was done, they replaced my grille with a non-oem but it looks almost the same...small differences and I think its sprayed on chrome, probably a cheap knock off... anyways, I have a half inch gap on each side where it is supposed to meet the fenders. Another thing is that its up too high and my hood doesn't sit level with the top of the fenders. I can't believe the body shop did this to me.

Is it possible that it just doesn't fit? I should have specifically requested oem parts but they tried to cut their corners. But the fender they straightened for me and painted looks alright!! I can live with this, especially with the warranty on the work performed, but I can't believe it isn't fitting as it should.

Those aftermarket parts never fit right. OEM is the way to go.

well, the fact that a non-OEM is already on there on there, what should I do? If i can't adjust it the way I'd like it to look, should I have the dealer re-do it with OEM like they should have in the first place? It's all covered by insurance anyhow, its just that I don't want to make waves.

I can live with the gaps, but it looks warped to me, looks like its a cheaper grade of chrome/plastic, & the hood doesn't close right. I think i'm going to go ahead and place some calls.

I think you should take it back if the hood and grill are not aligned properly. All it takes is once for that hood latch to fail if it does not lock and cause an extremely dangerous situation....NOBODY should have to put up with substandard workmanship or parts that do not fit properly.
