Current 05 incentives are $2,000 for DMAX and $2,500 for other 2500.

Current 04 incentives are $3,000 for DMAX and $5,000 for other 2500.

If you can get GM supplier discount, you can get it for nearly list. Then deduct incentives. My guess is that a dealer might get you within 1K of supplier discount for the 04 if you do not have it and then allow you to take incentive. So for a 04 6.0L you should do quite well, if you can find one you like. For the 05, the dealer might be more inclined to ask for a bit more, perhaps 1K more?

Let us know how you make out.

I would not pay over invoice for any of them, 04, 05, gas, or diesel, if you look around you will find a dealer that will sell at invoice, if not I'd find another dealer.

I bought an 04 GMC 2500HD SLE Ext Cab, 6.0 \ Auto a few weeks ago.......

$36,685 - MSRP

$32,550 - Invoice (what I paid for the truck)

-$5000 - GM Rebates

-$2000 - GM Card

$25550 + taxes is what I bought the truck for

The truck is an SLE with

Locking Differential

Snow Plow Prep

Power Seat

Power Camper Mirrors

HD Trailering Equip.

Aluminum Wheels

Electronic Transfer

Steering Wheel Controls

CD \ Cassette

Roof Marker Lamps

OOR Tires

Thanks for the info guys.

So far the lowest I've been offered is Invoice for an 05 and $200 over Invoice for an 04. For the 05 I'd have to drive 230miles though.

Here is my sticker. I ordered from the factory and got her in March of 2004. I think I got 15% off sticker ($38k). Didn't have any incentive packages then, or GM card $$. I was doing "pull-ahead" program and worked with my dealer to get this ordered and out of my lease.

Love my truck. Exactly what I want. It's pretty well loaded, and has the 8.1/Allison.

I can purchase under GM Supplier and it "ain't what it used to be"

on my 03 D\A sticker was $45,157, invoice was $39,652, supplier price was $39,623 (($29 under invoice)

on my 04 GMC sticker was $36,685, invoice was $32550, supplier price was $32595 ($45 over invoice)

GM Supplier is a deal that employees of companies that supply parts and services to GM can buy vehicles for, no negotiating or bickering , the Supplier price is right on the invoice (not to be confused with GMS which is GM employee discount which is considerably less... GMS is not GM Supplier, it can be confusing)

If you have the newer GM card you cannot use your points with the Supplier discount so on my last truck I offered invoice ($45 less than supplier) and used my GM card points .

GM Supplier price is before any rebates available at the time of purchase.

Do you have a copy of the invoice to confirm this?

The numbers I quoted above are from the actual invoice that I have copies of.

I'm sure advertising and regional prices effect this to some extent as well.

GMS (employee) was $1369 below invoice on the 04

I guess I can't get the supplier discount then.

But, I can get an 05 for Invoice anyway, dealeship just faxed me the Invoice/Cost sheet.

They still make good $$ with holdback according to the sheet.
