My truck failed emissions it threw code p1133 can anyone tell me what thet is? This a 96 S10 4.3.

Well, code P1133 is an O2 sensor error and should turn on the CEL (Check Engine Light). The actual description under the OBDII listing is: "Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) insufficient switching bank 1 sensor 1 (Rear Bank)".

 

Since the engine is north/south and not tranverse, it should be th passenger side sensor which has the problem. This could also be a shorted wire or corroded connector at the sensor and not necessarily the sensor. You'll want to check the harness and connectors first, before replacing the sensor.

Thanks Ray Ill check the conectors if all is fine Ill replace the o2 sensor the truck does have 153k miles I bet the check engine bulb is burnt out from the previous owner
