How do I replace the Handle on the rear hatch?

I have a 2001 Tahoe and bought a painted handle for the rear hatch. How do I get the inside panel off to get at it? Any tips??

First, look for any screws that may be hidden. If none, very carefully, using trim plyers, pry the trim away from the door. This is best done by someone that knows what they are doing, or what to look for. If you want to do it yourself, be careful as you are prying. You don't want to scratch the paint or break the plastic.
