I believe that Kenne Bell and Whipple are the only ones available for the 8.1. Paxton also makes them for the 8.1 but on for the 01 and 03 models. I asked them about that once....they didn't know why it wouldn't work...but they told me they had never tested it on a 02??? I'm not sure if any of the above are available for the 04, I just know they make products for the 8.1

hey due us all a favor and drop the truck off at STS turbo, So they can get 8.1/allly done and start to offer a kit for it. So I and few others can boost it to the moon thier kit that they will get with your truck.

I'd love to be the guniea pig for STS.....but I need to wait a few months for the $$$$. I talked to them about it a few months ago....they said the could make one, would just need to maybe upgrade the turbo, and figure out the tubing. Not to mention their in Utah...and I'm in NC :banghead:

BigBlock...I love my 93 tune. I think it really woke the engine up, and I can spin my 35's soooo........I did lose a little mpg.....but I'd rather have the power.

I spoke with Kenne Bell about the application current to my 2005 8.1 but it's not available for the Allison yet, I had a Whipple intercooled on a 2001 8.1, and although the power was "sick" (500+, with other mods of course!) , it was a little bulky under the hood for checking tranny and oil, also I had a K&N cold air, which is really a good filter but not true cold air (200 degrees under the hood :flag: ) As

far as superchargers go I am waiting for an intercooled Kenne Bell, DynaTech is coming out with a killer exaust system in a few months, so I am waiting, but I would definately go with a supercharger! Either Whipple or Kenne Bell, it costs some money , but in my opinion it's rw horse power you can most definately feel  Whipple is available right now, even if you go with Whipple you will most likely be satisfied, they do a good job. Tbyrne Motorsports know a lot about the 8.1, I choose not to bolt on, supercharging is a direct hit on power with out the guess work, the 8.1 is designed tough but not to over do it.
