Airaid System

Do any of you 8.1 Allison guys have the Airaid intake system on your HD?

I am looking into doing something to improve gas milage more than performance. Don't anybody say Duramax I'd love to have one but that extra $4K will buy a lot of gas.

I am looking for some real numbers. If anyone has experienced an increase in mileage using this please let me know. This set up I think will run about $360 with shipping. Anyone know of a better price?

I feel your pain at the pump. But face it, you have a big truck with a big thirsty engine. Gaining a couple miles per gallon is not going to be that noticeable. At least not enough to justify $360 on a new air filter setup.

I should have added to that too...open up the factory air box with the stock air cleaner and it will flow plenty. When I asked about HP changes on the dyno if I added a new muffler I was told that it will not do a thing for it.
