Door locks

It's starting to get mighty cold here in Anchrage.  During the summer I didn't have any grapite so I sprayed WD-40 in my driver side doorlock.  Now I'm getting pretty pissed because the lock has been freezing.  Can I spray some degreaser in there to get the WD out, then put some graphite in there?  Or does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to keep it from freezing during the night?  Can't put the truck in the garage, wifes car is in there.

I wouldn't recommend spraying wd-40 in a lock in the first place.  Go to your local auto parts store and get some lock de-icer, it's not just for de-icing locks because it has a lubricant as well.  Hopefully that will blow all the wd out of there and keep your locks ice free and lubed.  I carry a can of it in my jacket, or at least stash it outside of the truck somewhere for emergencies.  Another tip for deicing the locks is put a lighter to your key to heat it up and then put it in the lock cylinder.  After winter if you want to lube up your locks take off the door panels and take a lil' silicone grease and rub it on there.  I believe that it won't freeze up and it's similar to what they use from the factory.
