Front Axle Seals Squeeling?

I have a 2000 Z-71. The front end has picked up a horrible squeel, almost sounds like brakes. I have applied the brakes and it did not go away. I am a Nissan tech, we had an issue with front seals on 97 pathfinders. I was wondering if anybody here has an experience with this or knows what it could be? I know on Nissans we change front axle seals and the backing plate to baffle the noise.. lol.. But I am really tired of people in the s**ttiest cars looking up at my truck like it makes their car look golden!

only seen an axle seal seal squeal on the envoy platform where the left axle seal

is only a grease seal not an oil seal

 

maybe a u-joint?

Could the rotor be tigntened too much? Squeezed out all of the grease and the berings are metal to metal.

it's a Z71 therfore 4wd and thus front hub bearings not serviced

never heard a hub bearing squeal.
