Allison Rough Shifting

I have an 02 D/max Allison it just started shifting really hard especially going into reverse,sometime the indicator lights on the dash that tell you what gear you are in don t light up also.Once you get going the transmission works normally with no slippage and shifts and downshifts fine.Any one got any idea on what the problem could be.

Sounds like you need a new NSBU switch.

I agree. Lots of problems with those. Make sure you get the updated switch (grey I think) and there's also a shield for it. The problem is, on turns the tire throws water right at the switch and its connector and you get water intrusion.

Thanks for the Quick replies,I had no idea what was going on but it has been really snowy and lots of slush around so your diagnoses is probably the right one,sure hope so,will let you know for sure when I get to a dealer.Thanks again.
