$1000 bucks aint bad for a good body....as far as the NO-START..it could be a bad pick-up coil OR a bad ignition module, I highly doubt that the trucks computer(ECM) is causing them to burn out (if that is the problem)...The pick-up coil sends a signal to the ignition module(both are in the dist.) which sends a signal to both the ECM (to pulse the injectors) and to the ignition coil (to generate the ignition SPARK)...if the ignition module is not installed correctly with the special heat sink grease, this may be causing pre-mature failure, a bad ground to the distributor would also cause failure. It may also have intermittant break in the wires from the pick-up coil......of course this is all just a guess 'cause there is no way to accurately diagnose the problem sitting at a computer desk, I can only give advice on what to look for....Any how its a gamble...you can make an offer for less than a $1000, say 500-800 AS IS, and take the money you saved and fix it...BUT there is no way to check for other problems with it not running BUYER BEWARE

Sorry for rambling

If it is EFI (electronic fuel injection) it has fuel injectors.

The 92 is a throttle body injection system. The injectors are in the throttle body.
