Average MPH

When I divide the odometer by the hourmeter I get 41 mph average over the life of the truck. I'm curious how that compares, what are some of your numbers and what kind of driving do you do?

Last time I checked mine it was 29.34 average mph. mostly city driving, but then the truck had 86k on it when I bought it.

I've had the truck almost a year and am now just breaking 6,000 miles. I think Hour's was around 270?

I do start it up a few times during the week. I'm mostly in the ford work truck

funny I just checked this last night. 23.7 mph. I guess living 8 blocks from work now is not helping.

Right now mine is at 42.something with 43,000 miles, but I drive about 40 miles to work each way.

Highway I can get it up to 50-55 avg.

I'm guessing we are talking about the average mph that you can reset.

35.8mph avg. Speaking of mph I had my truck up to 95mph yesterday (desilate(sp) onramp) and I was very impressed with the overall feel. Would be a great truck to travel in.

I was looking for the average over the life of the truck. I bought mine used and am trying to get some feel for it's previous life. I don't have a fully functional DIC (I think they have medicine for that now) but I don't have an average MPH readout, much less a resettable one. Thanks for the feedback.

5713 miles 162.5 hours 35.16 MPH 20 miles to town, then chugging around on kiddy errands.

Also 341.21 gallons for 16.74 MPG.

38,211 miles in 846 hrs. Quick math in my head tells me that should be just over 45 mph. I bought the truck used with 33,000 miles on it. It was used all highway to haul produce by an 80 yr old farm woman (no kidding!). I drive mostly highway and I never start it and let it idle.
