I made a quick trip to walmart today and on my way I saw a 02 Avalanche Z71 fully loaded with the side calding painted the same as the truck Indigo blue!!! It still had paper tags on it along with a factory push bar. I had to do a double take to make sure what I had seen. I wonder what kind of option that costs? The only part that was not painted was the back bumper and maybe the front but I couldn't tell cause the push bar distracted me. Anyone else have any more information on this??? It really looked good.

The dealer I bought my truck from painted the cladding on the first 2500 Avalanche that he got in.  It was done as a customer request.  I didn't see the finished product, but I did get to see the AV sitting in the parking lot stripped of all its' plastic.

Dude,

I'm trying hard to remember where I saw about a "gazillion" pics of Av's with the painted cladding. I think it was from the 2001 Sema show.

Check this link out

]type in Avalanche for a search

Type in Avalanche as a search parameter and you should get a "good look" at a few.

Check out the AV Billet...

I added this to the other painted post. I have been thinking of just painting the lettering on the cladding the same color as the body. I think that this would look cool. Can someone do it on photoshop and post the results or has someone already done this?

I must say that I am looking forward to getting my Av this spring, but I just saw the ugliest truck ever.

Picture a Sunset orange Av, monochromed.  Everything was orange.  Except the 20 inch rims he had on it.  Even the plastic on the tailgate.  I almost threw up.  Couldn't chase him down to find out where he had it done, but I'll keep looking for it.  Has anyone else seen this vehicle or one like it?

:(
