Small speakers in headliner

Hey all,

 

got a quick question for the field.

 

What are the small speakers in the headliner for. There seems to be one in the rear and one above the driver seat. I'm assuming they exist for the onstar system, but I don't have that so am wondering if they are available for my cell phone.

THey're not speakers. That's an ambient air sensor for your automatic a/c system. There's a tiny fan inside that draws air across the sensor to provide temperature input to the heat/ac system.

Yeah..The little junebug looking thing on the side of the overhead console had me wondering for weeks.

 

THAT would be the mic for OnStar.
