Airaid MIT

Just wondering if anyone has ever used the Airaid MIT and has it helped them with mileage any and if there is a increase in noise?

The MIT is a replacement intake tube, eliminating the stock monster of helmholz chambers. You keep the stock airbox and filter. Aside from a bit more intake noise, I haven't noticed any performance or economy improvement.

So, I wonder what is better, getting the whole intake system? Because on my other truck I didnt notice much difference except maybe more power in the higher rpm's.

What does the MIT cost? About $100? Considering that with most kits you get a new reusable filter, baffle to keep hot air away from the intake, and an intake tube from $190 to $260. I'd be upset at myself for spending $100 to do it half-way. You can also sell your stock air box on ebay to cover some of the expense or to pay for . Do a search on cold air kits or just surf through the high performance forums to get some other views.
