8.1L Whippled

Got it back from the shop today - MTI Houston - what a difference - the Whipple fills out the engine compartment that seemed so large. Got the low end torque big time - cant wait to get to the track - TOG headers real nice - NKG plugs and Nology wires.

This thing growls like a tiger with its tail on fire.

Oddly enough it has fixed the resonance in the Gibson - not sure how or why, but it sort of went away.

Sounds sweet!  Let us know how you do, and how you like it after you've had it awhile. Not that we didn't want to know now :(

I hope you like it even more once you've had a chance to run it hard against someone!

Awesome.  I gotta call my doc and get something to treat "Whipple lust."

Like any good 12-step program, the first step in treating truck addiction is to acknowledge you have a problem.  OK, I realize that I have a problem - not enough modifications.

Do the headers have openings in them for the sensors?  I am looking at the Other Guys headers also.

Greg - take two headers and call me in the morning... Try it you will like it - better than the 12 step - like flying.

RedDog - good question - I saw them on the bench - didn't do the install - must have them - no SES lights - will check and get back to you. They are really tough looking - the 1/2" flange should be able to withstand anything.

Man, that truck must put BIG GRIN across your face when you get on it!!!!! :(

Please let us know how it goes!!   :D

I got serious envy going on here!!

Awsome!  Luv ya man....

I surrender to your superior toy purchase power!!  You are my idol, I am not worthy, I will never catch up (to you or your truck now  ??? )

Sounds great, if we weren't 5,000 miles apart, I'd be right over to see it.  Please keep me posted on how it goes, including the now pertinent 'miles per tire' measurement!!

Giant smile on my face just thinking about what that rig must be like to drive.  Go easy, or at least stay safe!!

Thank you all - it is real nice to drive - torque a plenty at any speed - smooth as a baby's bottom - don't like tickets.

Definitely more power accross the spectrum just like the web site said.

Will wind it up at HRP Houston this Fri night, weather permitting.

Don't forget to check out the headers also ;)

I'm very interested in them!!  Do they bolt up to the stock exhaust, or do you have to "splice" into it??

   Later,, RedDog

Sounds really sweet.  Did you get the intercooler with the Whipple?  And what's next, it's going to be hard to match this mod.
