Ok, I'm gonna try selling the blazer. I need some help deciding if it's worth it. Here's the deal:

1989 Chevrolet Blazer (Tahoe Edition)

Blue Book on it is about $1.8k-$2k.

I'm figuring deduct around $1K for taking the engione out of the equation (Cracked block) I'm not sure how much $$ repairs to the frame would be.

The Body is in GREAT condition, I'm figururing if I took the body off the chasis the body alone is worth $500.

The Transmission and the Transfer case are also in great condition, mechanically sound, if you will.

So I'm figuring the blazer... as is, should be worth somewhere in the $500-$700 Range.

Does that seem like a fair and honest price to you guys?

I don't know man...I've never parted one out either.

If you don't care about having a pile in your yard, get a decent set of tools and an account on Ebay.

And start spinning wrenches on it.

When there isn't much left, call the local wrecker service, they'll usually pay you $50 or so to take your rig. Of course, if there's nothing left on it, they might not pay you for it...But they'll still come get it. :(

I think that you are in the ballpark. But why not put a beater motor in it and continue to run it until you can get it right? A junkyard replacement shouldn't be more than a few hundred bucks...

There is a small but very possible chance the frame damage could cause the Blazer to be totalled out. I don't feel like taking that risk.

I'd rather get it out of my possesion without it being totalled in my name.
