Well, I had a close one today. I was about to leave on my way home from my parents today, and when I stopped by my mom's work I saw huge amounts of oil all over the parking lot where I had been while parking. I checked underneath and checked the pressure gauge (which was very low). I figured it was one of the oil lines busted. I took it straight over to the shop where I get alot of work done anyway, and we got underneath it and that's what it was. This is the second time I've had to replce the lines since I had this Blazer (April 2000). :ughdance:

I'm just glad I had stopped to see my mom, otherwise I would've lost all my oil going down the interstate and ended up on the side of the road. Which would've been even worse than usual because my wife had just gotten out of surgery and really needed to get home and I had to be here in time to work tonight.

Anyway...we left the Blazer there because I had to get back in time for work and they're going to fix it for me, and I brought my parents Buick Riviera home.

This is a common problem among the late '90s models. At least that's what I've been told for the last 4 or 5 years. The first time I replaced them I just did it because they looked pretty bad and I though I woiuld just do some preventive maintainence. This time I obvisouly had no choice. I told them to change all of them even though only one broke, since they're already under there and this is a common problem.

Oh well, at least I caught it in time.

I usually post in the light duty forum, but I caught this thread out of the corner of my eye...you guys are referring to the oil cooler lines, on the driver's side of the block I assume? I did a set of those on my boss's wife's Blazer about 8 or so years ago, and my dad's done them on both of his Blazers I believe...one of em twice. You would think that someone would manufacture something a little better to replace these things with, it seems to be all to common to me.
