99 NBS Tailgate Cables

Yeah, I know it's an old topic, however, I did a Search and read every thread on the bad cables. None of the posts explained why the 99's aren't included. WHY NOT THE 99 NBS TRUCKS!?!?!? Mine broke like everyone elses. I guess it's going to come out of my pocket? Thanks.

On the (somewhat) bright side, when I had my cables replaced, the invoice noted that the pair would have cost about $24, thats if the recall wasnt in place, so it really isnt to expensive to get'r done

My 02 before the recall it cost and out of warranty the cables where $15.00 ea, and when I got my 04 they sent me the recall letter with a refund form I filled it out and sent them a copy of the recept and they sent me a refund check for both cables

Nobody seems to know why the 99's weren't included, I've asked a bunch of times myself. Since yours broke, I guess it's not because the cables are OK...darn. At least they're cheap enough, think I'll have to invest in a set of new ones for some cheap insurance.
