Hey guys...I have a 01 Chevy Tahoe. And today i got it stuck in the snow. It took about a hour and half but we got it out. Well eveyrthing seemed fine but I can barley turn the steering wheel. Its almost takes all my muscles in my arms to turn the wheel. What is wrong....the steering was fine before i got stuck. Any ideas?

Broken shaft on the power steering pump. Take a long screw driver and see if you can move the pulley out a bit by prying on it. Don't get crazy with it if it doesn't move relatively easy, but remember you're working against belt tension too.

Not saying that you overlooked the obvious, but is there a ton of snow packed behind your front wheels, causing your steering components to bind? Snow packed in there that probly melted a little when you were trying to get out could do this.

Just a though. :D
