SUV guys where do you have your amps mounted?

I'm starting to plan my install now and was looking around for places to mount my amps. Right now I am planning on using 3 amps (1 for the sub, 1 for the front components and 1 for the rear plate speakers). I will also have to mount an Alpine CHA-S634 CD changer and the Alpine Sir-Alp1 Sirius tuner. I was going to put them under the second row of seats but the amps are too big to fit.

If you guys have pictures to show that would be great.

Mine are in the rear drivers side panel where the old sub was - the jack is in there also. Tons of space there. Dont have a pic. Managed to get two amps in there with space to spare.

I've got one inside the dash on my '92. Also have a Big a$$ed Fosgate amp (with cap attached) under the drivers seat. Although, this isn't an option for you, as the newer trucks (see: yours) have the "little black box" under the drivers seat.

Why not just mount it on the box? One stop shopping for a theif, but highly convenient for installation purposes.

Three amps does add to the problem but I have mine mounted under the rear captians chairs. The 4-way is under the right side and the bass amp under the left side. There is actually romm "under" the bass amp for my XM receiver. I had a 10 disk changer mounted in the useless little storage pocket behind the left rear seat (over the wheel well). That worked great. The amp location worked well since they also had great ventilation.

Good Luck

If you have the FULL length front center consol, there is a very large space under the front section PLUS if you "pop" off the cup holder there is a small space under it with a "pass through" to the front section of the center section.

not sure how large of amps you are installing, but if the width is wider than the space you could build a rack and put the amps at a angle.

This is where I'm looking to install my upgrade system.

I'll have to take off both of the back panels and see what I can fit back there. If I could mount the subwoofer amp back there I would probably have enough room under the second row seat for the rest of them.

I was possibly thinking of putting the CD changer inside the console.

I have mine on the back of the 2nd seat. Not a lot of room in the 2 door anywhere else. The only thing that sucks is when I lay the seat down I can't lay stuff on top of them.
