I was just wondering what year they have started placing cabin air filters in trucks.

My brother says they are only recent cars and trucks. While I believe they go back some.

I'm pretty sure it was 1999 with the nbs.

And the mid-size didn't get one, until the Trailblazer/Envoy (GMT-360 platform) and Colorado/Canyon came out, if those even have them.

I am pretty sure the full size trucks only had the Cabin Air filters from 00-02, I believe when GM went to the tri-zone heating /cooling system in 03 they were discontinued because of incompatibility issues with the new system. I sure someone else on the forum can confirm this or correct it.
