Did a Flowmaster test today!

Hey Guys,

Back in July, I had a Flowmaster 40 series muffler put on. Duals out the back. I also had the cat removed. So, I was wondering how loud it would be. I asked my dad to bring home a dB meter. After he calibrated it, I told him to stand behind the truck and measure the dB level. I turned the truck on, and at idle, it measured a solid 85 dB. So, I put it flat to the floor, and it peaked at 111 dB at six feet away. Keep in mind, I only have a 305. I thought it was pretty good. My dad didn't think so, after all, his ears are still ringing

cool, I'd like to know how loud my flowmaster is. It makes a nice rumble, yet it's quiet enough to not annoy you when you're driving.

Yea, my Flowmaster makes a nice rumble as well, but if you stomp on the gas, I will crack very loud. It also revs quicker since I got rid of the factory air intake and went to an open air filter. I plan on getting a K&N air filter and an X-tream air filter top as well.
