No just clean the gasket surfaces and get new quality gaskets and put it back together following torquing specs. I like to use a thin film of black automotive RTV gasket sealant too between gasket and mating surfaces.

The heater hose nipples usually, let me say will, snap off the second you touch them. And lets say they don't, they'll still leak. Lesile tool company makes an oversized EZ-Out just because of them if you need it. You can get screw in hose nipples to replace them and just cut the quick connect off the hose and clamp it on.
