I have been searching for a dropped hitch for awhile. It's ATV season and I needed to tow the trailer. I ran across a hitch called a alumistinger while searching ebay. They looked cool. Today I was out shopping for a hitch and stopped at a little truck assecories place. He carried thier full line. Long story short. I bought one. He came out and measured, and decided a 6" drop would put the ball at "standard" trailer height (16" if any body is wondering) . I think it's wicked. It's rated for 13,000 pounds(I only need 6400#) cost was $53 (cheaper than ebay) I now have to buy a convert a ball cause I do not want to swap balls back and forth now.

 

He had some cheapies 6000# and they were $43. Walmarts were $25 for 5000#

Added the convert a ball today. Nice. Rated at 10k. Total investment for alumistinger and convert a ball $90

I bought one a little over a year ago. It's a beautiful piece for sure.
