repairing crome on bumper

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have a 98 z71. I recently bumped into the gate of a chain link fence and the gate gouged the crome piece on my front bumper and tore it off from the bumper for about 3 inches. I could glue it back but I think it would not look good. Can someone tell me if this crome strip can be replaced on the black molding or do I have to buy all new molding for the front bumper. If I have to buy all new molding can someone tell me how difficult this jopb would be to do myself. Is the molding attached with adhesive or just bolts? Also, is there a place to buy the molding other than the Chevy place. Trying to save a buck.

Thanks
