Extended Warranty Companies

I just bought a new 1500WT and am considering a extended warranty. The dealer is pushing the VehicleOne warranty. How much should I pay for a 4 year 100K mile warranty? Also does anyone have any experience's with other Extended Warranty companies.

Thanks

GMPP, shop around and you can buy from any dealer anywhere. Some people here have people they exclusively go to. I got a 5yr/100k with a $200 deductible for ~$1400, if my memory is correct.

Don't get anything other than a GMPP. You'll be risking your money, especially with RRG insured warranty companies. I lost my ass with Warranty gold on the last truck--reason for trading for the HD

When I hit 2 years/24,000 I'll buy a GMPP to cover me to 100k. It's cheaper to wait and buy it than it is to get it now. I did lots of research.

I went with a 72mo 100K GMPP on my Sierra 2500HD as well. I got it right at the end of it's 1yr in service date so it was still priced under the "new car" list. The best price I found for it was though Classic Chevy in TX (beat GMOutlet.com in price (and service IMO)). I've also been burned on 3rd party ext warranties so wont touch anything that is not from the factory.

I bought my truck from a used car lot that offers all their vehicles with an "AutoSave" warranty.

The details:

So long as I get my oil changed every 4 months or 4,000 miles (whichever comes first) and keep up with the maintenance outlined in the owner's manual (keeping receipts), my truck's engine, transmission, and transfercase (internally lubricated components) are covered for 5 years or 100,000 miles ADDED ON from the date of purchase.

My truck is warranted until 228,000 miles or June, 2010.
