My new daily driver

Its a 98 S-10 SS, 4.3 V-6/ auto. I got it from a local car dealer. It was wrecked and sold with a salvage title. It needed a grill and front bumper. I replaced them with LS trim instead of the color matched SS grill. It was much cheaper and the local slavage yard had the parts. Its got 115k miles on it. I got it for $2k. Couldn't pass it up. Hopefully the mileage will be better than my HD.

I've been looking around for a deal along those same lines in an attempt to offset the HD mileage.

Looks good

Remember like I said before you could always "scuff up" the chrome real good and paint it to match but I think it looks good as it is.

Thanks. There is a few dings on the pass. side. If I decide to fix those, I will have the grill painted. If not, it looks pretty good the way it is.

Filled her up and checked the mpg this weekend. She got 21.86 mpg on its first tank!! That is far better than the 9-10 I get with the HD!!

d**n, that is impressive milage for the 4.3. I had a 98 S-10 reg cab sb with the 2.2 and I would average about 18, but up to 26 all highway...
