2001Silverado2500HD Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Sup Guys, My Name Is Daniel and Im new to this forum. I Have a 2001 Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab 6.0L Ok, well yesterday I was fillin up my gas at a local Chevron fillin her up with 91. As I turned her on the Fuel Gauge did not move to full, in fact it was all the way on Empty and my message center was flashing Low Fuel. Then as I Drove, the gauge slowly started rising. When i woke up this morning it did the same thing. As I drove home from work today it started out on E again then slowly gained up, but as I was stopped at a light it flew back into E then back to F as i started driving. PLEASE help me I have no idea whats going on. Thanks in advance. Is this a common problem? Also My Oil Gauge rises as I step on the gas. If i mash the gas the Oil Gauge will go up high. Have No Idea What this is. PLEASE HELP.
ockgator Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Sounds like sending unit in tank. As for oil gage, it'll do that, higher RPM more flow and pressure until relief valve in pump kicks in

99-2door Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 FYI...You can buy the sensor seperately from the sending unit now. Save you some cash that way.
