Towing?

I have a ecsb with a 4.3. I am looking at a Coleman camper that weighs around 2500 #'s unloaded. Does anyone think I will have trouble towing this?

You should have no problems pulling a camper of that size. It may be a bit sluggish on the hills but fine otherwise. My dad pulled a pop-up camper with his 99' 4.3 till he got an 04' with the 4.8.

I have an '03 Silverado with the 4.3. I would say that it is adequate when I tow that much. I would be perfectly happy with it if they had used the 3.73 axle with the six- as it is, the 3.42 is a bit too high. But I do love the 20 - 21 mpg I get at other times, so pick your tradeoff. Get trailer brakes and a transmission cooler if you have an auto, and you'll do OK.
