Engine swap question

Ok I have a 2001 ecsb with a 4.3. What do I have to change to go to a 4.7 or 5.3? Is this just a engine and harness change?

You would need a different trans and PCM also. Plus a little exhaust work. motor mounts are different also.

That's a lot of work. I'd almost think you'd be better off selling your truck and lookin' for a SWB 4.8.

Not at all trying to be rude.. But if you are having to ask... It is likely to be more than you might want to endure... For a multitude of reasons. tools, Additional hardware, additional electronics, etc.
