I have an '04 Tahoe LS and it does not have the steering wheel controls. Based on my research I know that I can reset the OLM via the gas pedal, however is there a way to read the remaining life on the oil ? i.e. like my previous '04 Silverado I could read xx% oil life ...

Is there a way to add momentary switches at the connector level to access the DIC and mount them on a panel under dash ?

 

I suspect I'd need the service manual/wiring diagrahms for the exact connector but wondering if it's possible.
