Hey, Lucky13MN

I have an OLD K-40 and need a new on but they are $$$$$ and then I saw your install pic on the Whister 3450, and looked it up on the web, it shows it can be installed vertically, my question is can it be installed in that useless hole on the left side of the dash above the light switch.

I'm sure you could... That's where my 4x4 controls are located and I'm almost positive there would be enough room there. The display is really clean, and that would be a great location!

COOL ! Thanks

I'll find a dealer or look up the demitions and see if it will work, even if it doesn't I'll make it work somewhere, how's it doing, my k-40 is so old it only picks up k-a-ka bands, the price is right.

I have a PDF with the dimensions...

Antenna: 1.4"H x 4"W x3.6"L

Control Panel: .8” L x 2.8” W x 2.3” H

Laser: 1.9”H x .9”W x .7”L

Good luck with it! Unfortunately I have not seen a patrol car with it's radar on yet, so I have no clue how well it works, figures!

Thanks man!

I love it, and for the first time in a week I finally ran across a cop with his radar on, worked awesome! Shows temp and/or battery voltage, pretty cool. You can have it not display either as well, but I like having the temp there.

Also, I have the outside temp on my rearview mirror... so instead of being redundant I moved that sensor to inside the cab, so now I have inside/outside temp displays.
