psu05 Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 i have some flowmaster super 40's off my car and i'm lookin at maybe welding one in but i'm unsure how loud they will be. i had them on a 67 318 and they were pretty loud with no tailpipes but there also weren't any cats. i dont' mind hearing it a little at cruising speed but i dont' want it to be defining inside at mid speed
psu05 Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 didn't want to buy one since i already have these ones and just wanted some input on it...guess i'm not gonna get any

Black-Z71 Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I'd be interested in how it sounds...if you do install it. I am the same way with the interior noise. I want to install a Super 40 with it exiting out the side, before the rear axle. Let me know if you like it...
mcreyaufmiller Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I run the 50 series, not to loud, not to soft. I get compliments all of the time on the sound of my truck. I can hear it in the cabin, but still talk to anyone who is brave enough to ride with me.
05W/T Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 I ran a pair of Super 40's on my 1997 ECSB I sold (Vortec 350). There was some resonance in the cab between 50-60 mph. This was expected since the flowmaster web site said that if you don't run an H or X pipe with true duals it will resonant. Overall, I thought they were kind of quiet, even at full throttle. 05 W/T 1989 K1500 4.3 5-speed 2005 C1500 4.3 5-speed
psu05 Posted August 12, 2005 Author Posted August 12, 2005 i guess i'll just have to try and find out...i know there was tons of resonance on my car and i had an h-pipe...just had them dumped b4 the axle though
