Hey guys,

I am looking at purchasing a new Z-71 Chevrolet Tahoe. Now, since I am going all out(debt wise) I want this suv fully loaded. I am looking at getting one around the end of december. That's my goal and its looking like its got a really good chance of happening before New Years. Here is the main question that I have. Since "GM Discount" ends September 5, whats going to happen to the 2006's? I mean, we all know that they can slash prices and still make money so why would I want to pay $49,000 for a fully loaded 2006, when a fully loaded 2005 just sold for $38,000. GM has to do something right? Another thing, what about re-sale? Has anybody looked lately? 2004 models are going to s**t, their resale is dropping alot and I can see why, due to the GM Employee discount. Anyway, please let's discuss this in depth. I am really curious to see what GM will do to help a person like me that's getting a new vehicle in december and not september.

Gm has announced that they are lowering the prices on almost all 2006's. I would go to gmbuypower.com, locate a similarly loaded 2005 and print out the employee pricing. That way you have something to compare the pricing too. And yes the dealer and GM is still making money selling at employee price. I still paid less for my 04 than the prices for the 04 (course I bought with GM supplier with $7000 in rebates).
