RPO Codes

Does anyone know the difference between RPO codes UQ7 and UQ3? I had a standard radio in my 2005 Avalanche and recently installed a Bose navigation radio. It seems I need an amp for sound quality but was told my code should be UQ7 and in fact it is UQ3. Is that only the difference from the factory radio to the new one I installed? Thanks for any help.

The UQ7 is the Bose system, has an amp...UQ3 Standard radio, no amp....check out .......chevyavalanchefanclub.com

 

They have all the info to explain everything....full installation info, documentation, do's & don'ts, these guys are super knowlegable.......best forum I have seen, by a long shot...lots of reading

Sorry, did not notice this was such an old post....I have ny Sept & Oct mixed up
