Headers question

Hailing from Northern California, 2001 5.3L Suburban. I want to (online purchase )JBA titanium coated headers for my 2001 Suburban, but I have 2 choices without air injection w/ EGR or with air injection. Does my 2001 Suburban comes with either of them?

No way to know this for sure without looking at your truck, but since you no doubt have "california" level emissions on the truck, you probably do have SAI.

 

Look on the "emission" label under the hood. You'll probably see the word CATALYST in big letters and just below it, several other emission items are listed. It will probably say at least egr/h02s/twc and though I haven't seen one lately with SAI, it may have that listed too.

 

SAI is Secondary Air Injection, or what they used to call AIR, but it's the same thing.

 

So see if you have egr/h02s/twc/sai (not necessarily in that order).
