Any ideas??

My 99 Tahoe is having some intermittent problems... I am not sure if they could be related to the alarm, a Viper with remote start, paging, etc, or some other problem. Upon turning off the truck, the HVAC blower will continue to run. Also my compass/temp/computer module from a Blazer I installed will also remain on, without the key. Turning the blower off and on does not change the condition. Jiggling the ignition lock does nothing ( I thought of the ignition switch at first) .Nothing else works, the radio, wipers, turn signals, etc that are powered normally with the key in accessory or run function.

I know I can remote start my turck, and if I have the AC and blower set to on, it will run the blower, but nothing else. I assume that function is controled by the alarm module, and ultimately relays. Could the alarm cause this? Bad electronics? Bad relays?

 

Just your thoughts, please.

I don't know if this is your problem but I had a Blower Motor Resistor Pack fain on a Chevy Express and it left the fan on ALWAYS until the battery died. Didn't matter whether or not the key was in. Replacing the resistor pack cured the problem.
