What is a good Grill Guard for a Tahoe Z71?

Bought an 06 Tahoe Z71 and am wondering if anyone knows what Grill Guard looks/fits the best on it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks :chevy:

Just don't buy a chrome one. There isn't an ounce of chrome on a Z71 Tahoe to compliment a chrome grille guard IMO

I saw a black Z71 Tahoe today at lunch with a chrome brush guard and tail lamp guards, looked hideous...

What color is your Tahoe? That would determine chrome or black. Personally if I get another brushguard, it will be a warn. Because I want it to hold up in a collision and be quality made. Warn is the best in that aspect. End of story.

It's black. I was thinking a black one would be best. What do you think of Manik?

I THING WESTIN LOOKS THE BEST.

IF YOU NEED ANY PARTS FOR YOUR TRUCK I HAVE SUPPLIER HOOK UP

Actually I saw a Manik that looked good today. Any idea what a black one would cost for a one piece unit?

I recommend Polar Bear. They look a lot like a Manik, but are consideably less $$. This one was $400 shipped to the dealer for my buddy (I know it's a F%*d, but it gives you an idea)

I have a Manik on the nose of my Silverado and it is great. Looks great and with 4 Illinois salty winters so far, no rust or corrosion. I think it looks great and is very well built. I would put a black one on your Z71.

That's sharp. But I have never heard of Polar Bear. Are they well know by most parts dealers? Or do they sell direct? I'm all about saving money. And I know the Manik was 489.00

Just remember if your concerned about gas mileage it will hurt it.

Seriously? How much will it affect gas mileage? Is it noticable?

Someone here (pipe up) gained i believe 2-3 mpg when they took of there guard. Lets face it any change to the aero package will change fuel economy & performance. On your Tahoe taking off the 2 bars that cross the top on your top carrier wiill help some. Pickups need a tonneau cover.

Hey NJSP117...What did you end up with?...I hate to renew an old post, but I too just purchased a new Z Tahoe in Silver Birch and am looking to mount some aux lights to the front, but I'm not sure a grill guard is the answer and I'm certainly not sure which one to go with especially with the lines of the Z and the color of the Silver Birch...anyone else have any thoughts? :gmc:
