K&N Intake should I?

Recommended Posts

I have been looking at the K&N air intake and filter upgrade or compareable product.

I have been wondering if this really works and if this would interfear with my extended warrenty on my (2002 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3L).

Does this really help increase horse power and most of all will it really give me more MPG (this is what I really am looking for MPG). Even though as my Dad always tells me if aint broke dont fix it, I am really wondering about this air intake thingy-majober.

Thanks,

Mike

So what is the PM for those of us running K$N type air filters?

Do not over oil........What else can we do? How does one go about cleaning injectors or MAS or anything else before a failure?

I am runnig a Volant CAI which basically has the same cone type filter as K&N. I can feel and hear the difference and i dont think i'm going to take it out BUT i would like my truck to last longer than my payments.......so what can i do?

The is like the dead horse thing,

I've been running K&N for years, 90 GMC, 98 Toy runner, 99 Camary, 02 Chevy Truck, 04 Chevy Truck have Now, with no problems or repairs.

I'ts like everything, take care of it, and it will take care of you.
