Lifter noise

My 5.3, after sitting for a few days, does a lot of lifter rattle on start up. Oil pressure jumps up fast and is normal at all speeds. Oil has been Mobile 1 since 3k and it has 35,000 on it now. Always used AC filters. Anyone else have this startup noise?

does it only rattle till the engine builds oil pressure? has it only done this since you changed the oil the last time? could have a filter with a bad check valve which allows the oil to drain out when shut off, the lifters will rattle till it fills up again. if so try another filter.

95 silverado... I'm going to guess it's been doing it since about10-15k. I've tried several different brands of filters. The oil pressure comes up fast and the rattle continues for a few more seconds. The fact that it is several lifters is what is bothersome. Maybe just adjusted too loose at the factory??? I'm making an appointment for the local dealer to look at it again before 36k rolls up.
